While we all go through this unprecedented time in our history, we all have to do our part to combat the spread of this jerk of a virus by practicing social distancing or quarantining in our homes. But that doesn't mean we can't connect and continue to support each other in whatever way we can.
Like everybody else, we are doing our parts by working from home, but we also wanted to try and help our clients and the community at large by doing SOMETHING that might help us stay connected and not feel overwhelmed at the constant stream of updates and news about the virus on a daily basis.
That's why we have decided to put together a weekly virtual meetings for our clients and mailing list members. There's no agenda and no plan, it's just an open platform to come and hang out, socialize, ask questions, give advice, vent, rant or offer support to each other. We're calling it the Canadian Assistive Technology Anti-Gloom Zoom Room (try saying that 5 times fast, we dare you).
We will be sending out all the relevant information such as date and time and Zoom Room link to our email subscribers, so if you aren't already on our mailing list, just sign up to our email list here or farther down at the bottom of this very page.
We also have started a COVID-19 Resources for the Disability Community page that we will be updating regularly. If you know of anything that we can add for people to be aware of, email rob@canasstech.com.
