The Beginner 40x-400x Biological Microscope MS-040SP is a versatile and easy-to-use microscope designed for beginners. The MS-040SP has been retrofitted with a custom universal digiscoping adapter, allowing the use of our CarsonCam App to record videos and take pictures with the user's smartphones.

    The MS-040SP includes a universal digiscoping adapter and can be used with the CarsonCam Phone App. The CarsonCam App will convert your microscope into a digital microscope with a correctly oriented image.

The Beginner 40x-400x Biological Microscope MS-040SP is a versatile and easy-to-use microscope designed for beginners. The MS-040SP offers a magnification range of 40x to 400x, making it suitable for observing a wide variety of specimens.

At 40x, you can view larger structures, such as plant cells, while 400x magnification allows for the examination of smaller details, like the internal structures of microorganisms. The MS-040SP has been retrofitted with a custom universal digiscoping adapter, allowing the use of our CarsonCam App to record videos and take pictures with the user's smartphones; additionally, the CarsonCam App will convert your microscope into a digital microscope with a correctly oriented image. The included universal smartphone digiscoping adapter fits nearly all smartphones with cases up to 3.75 inches wide.

It is also compatible with dual-camera phones. The horizontal phone alignment is done using a variable pitch screw for fine control when you need it, but can also be moved quickly between an iPhone (corner camera) and Android (center camera) positions. The alignment features will not interfere with any side buttons on your smartphone.

For any issues with compatibility or setup, please contact Carson's customer service department. The microscope has a metal body and a monocular head that sits at a 45-degree angle for comfortable viewing. The monocular head also rotates to 360 degrees for easy sharing of the specimen view.

Illumination is provided by two bright white LED sources (transmission and reflection), which allow viewing of a wide range of transparent to opaque specimens.
